Standard Introduction post

Hello, salutations, and other formalities that basically express the phrase, "Hiya dudes and dudettes!"

This is my first attempt at a 'legitimate' blog. I say 'legitimate' because I've done plenty of blogs like this in the past, but they've more or less always turned into me posting random non sequitur things or me bitching about how I am/was/used to be (?) an angsty teen.

No; this time, I hope to actually have a blog with a purpose. What that purpose is, exactly, is sort of up in the air right now. But the general idea goes like this: I get struck by inspiration to talk about a specific topic (something thought provoking from my day, old photos from past excursions, ~*~*~*nostalgia*~*~*~, zombies, or whatever's on my mind), and basically... well, talk about it. Simple as that.

I hope that somehow, someday, in some wacky manner, I'm able to actually come up with good philosophical points that actually make this blog worth while.

Or maybe I'll just have to settle for causing a chuckle or two in someone's day. We shall see.

I was inspired by my Journalism & Society class blog and all the blogs associated it with it. I figured if they're out there trying to inform the masses and spark some debate, I may as well too, right?

As I am kind of a newb when it comes to these 'web blog' things (you damn kids and your newfangled technology), I'm going to periodically play with the layout for this thing. So, if you come on and find that this blog looks like someone vomited all over the page, I apologize in advance.

I figure it's time for me to cut this introduction off, as it's nearing 11 o'clock and I have some hardcore book purchasing stuff to figure out by tomorrow.
